Domestic Operations Supervisor – Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas

The Domestic Operations Supervisor is a high visibility role for our DFW location. The ideal candidate will have Transportation experience in a Freight Forwarding, 3PL, or LTL environment. We are looking for a high energy and resourceful candidate to join our growing DFW Team.

Job Description:

  •  Oversee the prioritization, scheduling, routing, and tracking of shipments for transportation via Air, FTL, LTL, Hot Shot, and Linehaul to ensure on-time arrival
  •  Proactively work with new and existing customers, carriers and agents to secure capacity and negotiate pricing
  •  Work alongside Internal and External customers daily to troubleshoot and overcome operational challenges to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and accuracy
  •  A customer-centric approach to tracking and follow up, with the desire to build long-term relationships with clients, agents, and carriers
  •  Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a high-pressure environment 
  •  High level of resourcefulness and initiative with exceptional time management
  •  Provide operational leadership skills needed to create and promote an environment where employees are engaged, empowered and committed to the success of the company
  •  Continual desire to learn and expand Domestic and International knowledge
  •  Assist with all operational requirements assigned by management, adhering to TSA and other government regulatory compliance standards with booking and routing of all Air, Ground, and Sea cargo

Skills and Experience:

  •  5-7 years of experience in a progressive Freight Forwarding, 3PL,  or LTL environment
  •  Excellent knowledge of multiple modes of transportation, major airports, seaports, and domestic geography
  •  Strong verbal and written communications
  •  Microsoft Office proficient with strong overall computer skills
